I have Apache correctly (standard setup) working on my Ubuntu Hardy Desktop, with one virtual domain already set.
But when I run Rapache I read in the status bar “Warning cannot contact Apache”.

    Have I to configure something?

    Thanks, Maurizio

We have 3 statuses for apache:
    0 – off
1- seems on but we are not able to contact it via http
    2- on.

Seems Rapache can’t contact your host for some reason. If I recall correctly, it simply tries to call http://localhost.
Seems a minor glitch, that won’t prevent you to get the most from Rapache, anyway. I’d ask you to file a bug on launchpad for that, so we can take a look and communicate to solve the problem. If you open the bug, please attach a tar.gz of /etc/apache2, this way we could better reproduce the problem. Copy pasting the content of /etc/hosts may also help.

Thank you very much, let us know how do you like Rapache. If you happen to use IRC, we can often be found on #rapache on freenode.

You guys are amazing! Fantastic work! This an app really needed for a log time and now you’re filling that gap! I can’t say how happy I am that we finally have such an app. I wish you good luck extending it an hunting down the possible bugs. I will test it and report bugs if I find them. Once again: thank you very much for this app and I wish you all the best to succeed with it!
