Microsoft trolls another small fish

A manufacturer of Linux-based networking devices has agreed to pay an undisclosed sum to Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) in order to settle a patent claim, Microsoft disclosed Wednesday.

Under the agreement, Melco Group will pay the sum to Microsoft in exchange for indemnity coverage for its Buffalo brand Network Attached Storage devices and routers. The patent indemnification covers Melco and its customers.

    This is why I the Linux community should have nothing to do with Mono. Even with the recent promise not to sue, Microsoft has consistently used underhanded practices to further their business model. The less we have to do with Microsoft, the better.

    If we’ve learned anything in the last 25 years is that people have a short memory span concerning the convicted (in USA and Europe), monopolist from Redmond. Gates is still in charge using the bogus foundation to help microsoft any way it can.

    Comes vs Microsoft, Holloween documents, etc.

    They’re not going to give up the behaviour that got them where they’re at.
    Rubbing elbows with microsoft will only give you dirty elbows.
