Jolicloud laughing at the Koala

Jolicloud Logo

Jolicloud seems to do much of what Ubuntu Karmic Koala is aimed at. Just better and now.

Take a look at the following video:

Cloud integration (even during the installation), pervasive contacts and so on. See the video yourself and tell me what you think. Will Ubuntu Moblin/Netbook Remix be able to compete with such a good integration ? Difficult to say, but I doubt it. :)

Jolycloud is still in alpha stage and about to launch a public release (it was due to June 1st, not out yet, but expect it soon). Update: no, maybe not, but they’ll probably start to send invites for the private testing stage soon. Check out the official website to ask for yours.

Source of the news: Nico ! (Brasilian -- i guess -- language)

This seems like a great time to subscribe my RSS !

Am I the only one that thinks chosing a cumulonimbus cloud as a logo for this kind of thing was a bad move? :D
