A FS song that doesn’t suck

Rockstar Tux

After a fair amount1 of research I found a Free Software Song that doesn’t make me puck. Instead, I find it actually nice.

Download it and let me know what you think about it:

Also check out the official song page (with all the versions).

Does free software song basically mean free music, like on Jamendo.com, or is it something else?

@Parry, it’s not a type of song or a music site of any kind. The Free software song is an actual song, wrote and (sloppily ;-) ) sang by Richard Stallman himself.

Check out the song homepage link in my post to listen to other versions of the songs.

I thought the one they play at the end of Revolution OS (http://imdb.com/title/tt0308808/) by the GNU/Stallmans is pretty good. Also, I have a fantasy that Pornophonique (http://jamendo.com/en/artist/pornophonique) will one day make one…

@Morten: Is that the version by Pink Stainless Tail?

There’s 4 versions I know of: Stallman’s original, Fenster, the GNU/Stallmans and us, the PS[T]. I reckon ours is the best! Coz its got backwards guitars, Berlin Aussie expat guest players and even secret Edward Fox references! I’m not sure how faithful the tune is to Sada Moma though. My Bulgarian’s not all that…
