Does Linux software work ?

This happened on IRC yesterday ;-)

(07:55:38 PM) tacone: if you install a mostly unknown third party app on linux you usually expect it to not work
[...]
(07:56:50 PM) qense: I expect it to work, which is mostly does.
(07:56:57 PM) tacone: nice :)
(07:57:10 PM) qense left the room (quit: Remote closed the connection).
(08:01:51 PM) qense [n=qense@ck523187-a.dokku1.fr.home.nl] entered the room.
(08:02:06 PM) qense: What happened?

:-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

What do you think is the average quality level of third party linux software?

Oh, I forgot, greetings Qense :-) .

This seems like a great time to subscribe my RSS !

Great. :P You could say that what I did wasn’t actually helping me. Maybe I should have said that I closed it myself by accident!
I’ve never had any crashes like that when I was using the plain XChat, but now when I’m using XChat-GNOME things seem to be less stable.

Quotes like this make me feel bad for having ubuntubash.org down :S
